In the foothills of the Himalayas, amidst the picturesque locations in the world, one can challenge their wits against the Yellow Mahasheer, the Giant Catfish or various types of Trout. South of the Peninsula is the Cauvery, which hides in its cool depths the Humpback Mahasheer and the Carnatic Carp. Of course the Indian Ocean is also teeming with challenges for those who prefer salt water fishing.
